Apology for PM Spam / Advertisement Etiquette

On behalf of the community itself, we would like to apologize to any PM advertisement spam you or anybody else might have recently gotten. These PMs were not mod sanctioned and we did not know about them until it had already happened. We have spoken to the sender and it will not happen again.

Furthermore, we ask any other players interested in advertising the comm. to refrain from doing so in any indiscriminate mass-PM manner. Mass-PMing is not acceptable and will result in a ban if you continue on when asked to stop.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for listening.

~Andy

Addendum: If you want to invite people, it's always best to keep it to people you've threaded or chatted with personally. That or anybody who is specifically asking for dressing room suggestions. At the end of the day, personal invitations are just better received, and polite.

Holy cow! Thanks for bringing this up and telling us about it. I had just gotten back online after having to take a week off because of school stuff. I wouldn't think of using a mass PM but now that you mentioned it, it's a good idea not to.

It is a bit of a meh way to do it, but my friend and I wouldn't have found the dressing room otherwise, so we can't exactly gripe about it.

Oh, yeah, I'm not faulting you for saying it's not okay -- I agree completely. It really isn't a good way to do things at all, but better to just chat with the person and invite them on a personal level. I would have been annoyed if I was in even a slightly worse mood, honestly.

All I was saying is that the Muns behind the four England Duelists aren't here because we feel obligated, but because we want to be.
